Irena Lysiuk - Pussycat 

Irena is a classically trained, versatile Soprano with over 10 years of performance experience. With a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Pedagogy majoring in Classical Voice and a Graduate Diploma of Music Studies in opera performance, Irena has learnt primarily from esteemed vocal coach and soprano Margaret Schindler. 

As part of Opera Queensland’s School touring programs, Lysiuk performed the roles of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel (2017) and Adina in Fizz! (2016). During her studies at the Queensland Conservatorium, Irena’s roles included Damigella in L’incoronazione di Poppea (2015), Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (2013), Papagena in Die Zauberflöte- scenes (2012), and Una Novizia in Suor Angelica (2011). 

In 2016, Irena covered the lead role of Monica and performed the role of Mrs. Gobineau in Anywhere Theatre Fest Brisbane’s production of Menotti’s ‘The Medium’, performed in the iconic Spring Hill Reservoirs.

Pia Frangiosa - Owl

Pia is a passionate and versatile performer working across a wide variety of performance mediums as a vocalist and actress. Pia completed a Bachelor of Music majoring in Musical Theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium graduating with the Griffith Award of Excellence. Some of her stage credits include Oklahoma! (2014) Godspell (2014) Brisbane Cabaret Festival (2014) The Queensland Tourism Awards (2014, 2015) Working (2015) Blood Brothers (2015) On The Docks (2015) Carrie (2016) Edges (2016) as well as working extensively with The Underground Opera Company (2016, 2017) Pia looks forward to setting sail with this wonderful show.

Jackson McGovern – Moon/Piggy-Wig/Turkey Prophet/Mice/Honey Bear 

A graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium's Bachelor of Musical Theatre program, Jackson has already begun to make his mark on the professional scene. Stage credits include Josh in Wax Lyrical’s production of Nineteen, Hunter in [Title of Show] for Understudy Productions, Mark Cohen in Rent at Melt Festival 2017, Claude (Hair) as part of a sell-out season at the Brisbane Powerhouse, Jigger (Carousel), Victor (The Wishing Well) and most recently The Baker (Into the Woods). 

He has also been featured in an array of showcases, revues and concerts, and was this year invited to perform at a master class with renowned composer/lyricist, John Bucchino. 

Away from the Con, Jackson has originated principal characters in numerous creative developments (Spark - Megan Shorey; Hell and High Water - Matthew Samer), performed for Joymas Creative (Season Launch 2012, Recall - 2013) and made his film debut in the web-series, Strange Aeons. Originally drama-trained, Jackson will tour as a Shakespearean actor with the Grin and Tonic Theatre Troupe in 2015, and continues to work throughout Queensland as a drama teacher, public speaking coach and freelance writer.
